The difference between a pet care facility and a pet sitter is Huge. A normal facility your pets are kept in a cage, or room. They are most of the time uncomfortable, scared, and not happy you are gone. A pet sitter comes to your home, where you pet is comfortable, and much less scared. Some pets will always be afraid when a new person comes into their home, but they have a tendency to be more accepting in their home environment compared to a new situation. There are actual studies that have found pets in their own homes react to their people being gone much less than pets in a kennel facility.

A difference between my business and a pet sitting service is my experience. Working as a veterinary technician since 16 years old, I can confidently administer medications, give injections, know what is and isn’t an emergency, how to care for elderly and special needs pets.

Looking through other pet sitting forms I am also one of the few that will keep you updated daily of how your pet is doing, as well as leave a form at the end of the visit letting you know how the whole trip went.

What makes you different than any other pet care facility?
Is it really that necessary to have my dog walked on a daily basis?

Absolutely! The more exercise your dog receives, the happier, healthier, and more well behaved your dog will be!!

Don’t forget: a healthy / worn out dog is a happy dog! You may think that a potty break in the morning and a potty break in the evening after work is enough for your pet, but experts have proven that in order for your dog to live life to its full potential, he/she needs to be able to get out to exercise every day.

If you do not feel up to it, dog walkers may be your new best friends!

Cats are self sufficient. Do I really need a sitter?

You know your cat better than anyone else does.

Though I ask you to consider that it has been proven that cats encounter stress and anxiety when left alone for too long. You may think that since your cat is alone all day when you are at work, he/she will be fine for a couple days.

Being gone for two or more days is very different than going to work and back since you will not be coming home every night. Just 30 minutes on a lap receiving love and affection is enough to help them believe that everything is fine, and relieve him/her of any anxiety.

Do cats really need exercise?

They certainly do! Cats are much like other animals (and people!) in this respect. Not only does exercise keep your kitty in beautiful shape (you know you want to stun the veterinarians at your clinic!), but it also helps relieve stress, helps keep his/her fine motor skills up, and last but certainly not least… helps him/her sleep through the night!

If you have cat / cats who do not get along the best together, think of giving them extra exercise and you may find they do better with each other.

How can I get in touch with you and meet you?

Call, Text or Email me!

I check the email daily, and when I am not in with a client, I have my phone and will answer it. Once we have connected a meeting is set up in your home to continue introductions, answer any questions and become introduced to your pets!

The meeting has a tendency to get 2 birds with 1 stone, not only does everyone, including your pet(s) get to meet me, there is question answering, and I ask you to go over the routine you do daily. That way the transition between you leaving for vacation and coming back is as smooth as possible
